The first press conference for Kung Fu flick "Wu Dang" was held yesterday in Beijing. Lead actor Man Cheuk Chiu and actress Yang Mi were present at the event, according to Mtime.com.
Controversy was generated when Man Cheuk Chiu was forced to leave the set of "Te Shu Shen Fen" earlier this March. According to the star, he was humiliated by Donnie Yen, his costar in the movie, so badly that he had to speak out.
Two months after the affair, Chiu appeared in a series promotional events for his newest movie "Wu Dang." He said in a previous interview that, "I've been in this industry for over 20 years. I was taught to treat people with respect. But he destroyed everything I knew about him." He also stated that, "I have to speak out for myself and those people who suffer because of him." But after all this, Chiu told the media he "found inner peace and will move on."
"Wu Dang" is slated for release on July 17. Director Patrick Leung promised that the film will be a completely new experience for audiences due to its fashion and action choreography.
