Anticipated Character Posters of "The Expendables 2" Released

Twelve character posters for the Hollywood action blockbuster "The Expendables 2" were released today, Mtime.com reports.

Directed by "Con Air" director Simon West and penned by Sylvester Stallone, "The Expendables 2" boasts a star-studded cast including Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Liam Hemsworth, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, and Chinese stars Jet Li and actress Yu Nan. Notably, Jet Li's appearance was certainly a surprise to many fans.

Chinese entertainment company LeTV Pictures is one of the investment companies behind the film. Its prequel, "The Expendables", generated US$250 million in the Chinese film market in 2010.

It has also been revealed that the promotional trailer will be released soon.

With a US$100 million budget, "The Expendables 2" is expected to release in China on August 17, the same date as its worldwide release.
