First Poster of "Design of Death" Released

The cast and crew of the absurd comedy "Design of Death" appeared at a press conference on April 16 in Beijing for the release of the movie's first poster, Chinesefilms.cn report.

Director Guan Hu, whose movie "Cow" won a Best Actor award at the 46th Golden Horse Awards, was spotted at the event along with actors Simon Yam, Huang Bo, Liang Jing and Wang Xun.

A premiere ceremony will be held on April 25 in the run-up to the film's opening at cinemas nationwide on April 28.

In the meantime, there has been widespread speculation on the internet that domestic Chinese movies will suffer heavy box-office losses when they go head-to-head with Hollywood blockbusters such as "Titanic 3D" and "Battleship."

Qin Hong, producer of "Design of Death" and vice-president of Stellar Media Limited, said he was confident about the movie's box-office performance despite the tough competition.
