"Floating City" Hits Cinemas on May 18

Award-winning director Yim Ho's biographical film "Floating City" is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide on May 18, Mtime.com reports.

In the film, two-time Golden Horse Award winner Aaron Kwok acts alongside Paw Heeching, who won a Best Actress award at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

The movie is based on the true story of a Hong Kong business mogul in the early 20th century. Kwok portrays the lead character who was born after his mother was raped by a British seaman and was later adopted by a fishing family. Paw plays his foster mother.

Kwok and Paw present a heartwarming emotional bond between mother and son just like the story in the blockbuster art-house film "A Simple Life."
