Set at the end of the 1970s, the art-house film "11 Flowers" tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who witnessed a murder.
As the first installment of his autobiographical trilogy, director Wang commented, "Some details in the films are the ones I experienced when I was a child. I want to utilize this film to reproduce the road we walked. The props featured in the posters such as a white shirt, red scarf, slingshot and paper plane are the nostalgic symbols for several generations. I believe they will resonate with audiences."
Starring Yan Ni, Wang Jingchun, Qiao Renliang and Liu Wenqing, "11 Flowers" will be screened in cinemas in France on May 9 and released in China on May 11.
