The 9th French Film Panorama has arrived in China. During the event, which will run from April 11 to 17 in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu, ten French feature films and two short films will be screened, Mtime.com reports.
The cast and crew of the movies scheduled to be screened will attend a series of promotional events within the host cities. The twelve films on offer will encompass a number of genres including comedy, action, art-house, animation and suspense.
The highlight of the schedule is Georges Méliès's masterpiece, "A Trip to the Moon (Le Voyage Dans La Lune)." The restored version of the movie will be screened in Asia for the very first time in celebration of its 110th anniversary. Other films featured at the event include some of the most successful productions in recent years, including Isabelle Huppert's romantic comedy "My Worst Nightmare," the historical epic "Hur Adam," and the suspense thriller, "Des Vents Contraires."
The first stop on the tour is Beijing, which will be followed by Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Shenyang. All movies will be screened with their original sound tracks, dubbed with Chinese subtitles.
