The annual event will hold its opening ceremony on March 25. Director of the movie Wang Xiaolie will be present, accompanied by cast members Tong Dawei, Wang Ji and Ng Mantat.
The movie features actress Xu Qing and Tong Dawei as the leading characters. Xu recently completed her part in the Hollywood all-star blockbuster "Looper", and Tong recently gave his most impressive performance to date in Zhang Yimou's epic "The Flowers of War."
"To My Wife" is based on the Huanghuagang Uprising, also known as the 72 martyrs of Yellow Flower Mound. In the uprising, 72 young men sacrificed their lives for the 1911 Revolution. One member of the martyrs, named Lin Juemin, wrote a letter to his wife before his death. He expressed his love for his wife and his country in the letter, a moving homage throughout the ages.
