Produced by Media Asia Group, the original comedy revolves around how two young people spark a romantic relationship for the sake of smoking. The movie was classified as a Level III movie in Hong Kong, which means only viewers age 18 or older could see it. Although the movie was not released on the mainland, it had caused something of a stir among young people.
With a limited screening scale, the movie surprised the production team with successful box office results and a good reputation. To build upon the momentum of the film's success, Media Asia Group decided to create a sequel.
Shawn Yue and Miriam Yeung continue their love-hate relationship in the new movie. Mainland starlet Yang Mi and famous actor Xu Zheng have joined the cast, rousing speculation that the movie will be released on the mainland in the future.
