The curtain was raised at the Korean Film Critics Awards yesterday, and the winners were unveiled today, according to a report from mtime.com.
Chinese actress Tang Wei received the award for Best Actress for her performance in "Late Autumn", while Korean Actor Jung-woo Ha won the award for Best Actor for his performance in "The Yellow Sea". Meanwhile, "The Front Line", South Korea's entry for Best Foreign Language Oscar, swept the event, receiving four awards.
Tang Wei, who made a name for herself in Korea with the film "Lust, Caution", had earlier received the Annual PaekSang Arts Award for Best Actress by virtue of the classic remake "The Late Autumn". Picking up the award for Best Actress at this year's Korean Film Critics Awards Ceremony has reaffirmed her popularity in Korea, as well as the rest of Asia.
The winners of the awards will be announced in Seoul on November 11.
