Historical epic China 1911, starring Jackie Chan and Li Bingbing, is scheduled to be released on September 23 on the Chinese Mainland, according to recent reports.
Chan co-directed and plays lead character Huang Xin.
"Initially, I was determined to focus on directing, but after getting to know the character of Huang and his importance in the 1911 Revolution, I decided to play his role," Chan said.
The film portrays the legendary tale of Huang Xin and his partner Xu Zonghan (Li Bingbing), alongside the other well-known love story of revolutionist Lin Juemin (Hu Ge) and Chen Yiyin (Mei Ting).
