Urban romantic comedy "Yes, I Do"('Wo Yuan Yi'), adapted from Chen Tong's novel of the same title, is set to hit the silver screen, according to a report from the website 163.com.
According to reports, mainland superstar Sun Honglei has landed the leading role. "For the leading actress, we have our sights set on a heavy-weight star," the production company told media, opting not to reveal the name of their star acquisition.
Renowned director Sun Zhou, whose 2002 classic film "Zhou Yu's Train" rocketed actor Sun Honglei to stardom, will direct the project. This will be the first time that the two will have worked together since their last partnership, 9 years ago.
Set in a modern and magnificent metropolis, the film follows a group of white-collar workers, charting their love affairs.
Both Suns hope "Yes, I Do" can achieve what "Zhou Yu's Train" did in terms of its contribution to cinema and its quality in production.
