Production company Stellar Mega Films Co., Ltd. held a press conference in Beijing yesterday to promote its latest comedy production, a remake of the 1985 film 'A Match Made by Heaven' ('Tian Sheng Yi Dui'), 163.com reports.
Taiwanese director Yen-ping Chu attended the event along with cast members Yang Mi, Vic Chou, Chen Chusheng and two of the movie's younger stars Benny Wan and Ding Shaha.
Revolving around the heart-warming relationship between parents and their children, the movie incorporates a number of new elements, setting it apart from the original 1985 version. Movie-goers can expect to see car races and people determined to reach their goals, alongside the original storyline.
Actress Yang Mi takes up the challenge of portraying a mother for the first time on the silver screen.
The film has finished shooting in Taiwan and has now moved to Shanghai to begin filming there.
"A Match Made by Heaven" is expected to be released during the New Year holiday slot.
