Hong Kong producer Raymond Wong will continue his comedy New Year run, presenting an amusing fantasy flick to Chinese audiences on December 1, Xinhuanet.com reports.
The film, named "Magic to win"("Kai Xin Mo Fa") held its launch ceremony yesterday in Beijing. Director Wilson Yip, screenwriter Edmond Wong, together with cast members Yan Ni and Raymond Wong kicked off the event.
It is the second time Yan and Wong have joined hands to create a comedy, since their first cooperation in "All's Well, Ends Well 2011," which was released at the beginning of this year.
This time however, Yan is not the protagonist of the film. According to the director, the female lead of the film will be a young Hong Kong model, with her name still under wraps.
Other cast members also include Louis Koo, Wu Chun and Wu Jing.
Unless another film snags an earlier release date, the film will be the first Chinese film of the new year season, followed by director Zhang Yimou's "Heroes of Nanking," Derek Yee's "The Great Magician, "and Tsui Hark's "The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate."
