A press conference for the Chinese horror film "The Island" was held in Beijing on Monday (July 26th), where posters of the film were also on display, m1905.com reports.
Director Feng Chao and leading actors Liu Hua and Huo Siyan were all in attendance.
The film tells a story of a billionaire who sets up a deadly game on an island in Southeast Asia in an attempt to save his son who is in need of a heart transplant. He picks up 7 Asians from different areas, but only one of them can survive. The seven people have to go through five obstacles testing their bravery and wisdom in order to survive.
Chinese actor Liu Hua became famous from the black comedies "Crazy Stone" (2006) and "Crazy Racer" (2009) both directed by Ning Hao.
Actress Huo Siyan has acted in many films and TV dramas, including the upcoming comedy "Long Feng Dian" (2010).
The film will be released on September 3rd.
