Zhang Yimou lays his hope for the furture in the youth.
Zhang, winner of the Outstanding Contribution Award at the 4th Asian Film Awards, talked about his hopes at the awarding ceremony.
He said, "Film is an art for the youth because their outlook is much broader than ours and the hopes will be with the youth."
He also claimed he hasn't lost any of his passion for film and that was probably the reason why he was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Asian Film Award.
Talking about what he has learned through his career, his advice to young directors was to "keep on doing what you're doing".
