
As champions of Latin dance in China with opponents no match for them, Lili and Chu Sinan instead become their own enemies. Lili develops an alcohol addiction and becomes emotionally unstable while Chu Sinan, an automaton, lets dancing take over his entire life. Differing expectations and conflicts often plague their relationship and create a lot of tension between them as their relationship morphs into one filled with love and hate at the same time.
Lili enters rehab but still fails to kick her old habit. Her addiction finally takes a toll on her dancing career when she trips over repeatedly in a competition, making a fool of herself. In her drunken stupor, filled with despair and disappointment, Lili takes a leap off a balcony right before a wide-eyed and helpless Chu Sinan.
Lying on the hospital bed, Lili finally decides to retire from her career as a professional dancer, and thereupon, as Chu Sinan's dance partner. Chu Sinan and Lili go their separate ways, bidding farewell to each other as partners and lovers, swearing never to see each other again.
Chu Sinan finds a new partner, Xiao Man. Practicing tirelessly, he aims to win a major competition in Blackpool with Xiao Man.
Just before they leave for the competition, Chu Sinan finds out the truth about Lili and realizes that dancing is not the most important thing in the world. This beautiful love story, filled with its blood and tears, reveals the nuances in life and love where often there are deep hurts.
