Western Film Group Corporation (WFGC) was incorporated in 2003 after the amalgamation of Xi'an Film Studio (established in 1958), Xi'an Film Studio Corporation, West Movie Channel and other institutions. WFGC's operations encompass production, post-production, marketing and distribution of motion pictures and television programs, management of cinema circuits, operation of film & TV production base, manufacture and rental of props, costumes and equipments, management of the movie channel, international co-production, development and merchandise of post-movie products, etc. WFGC boasts the capacity of making over 10 feature films and 300 episodes of TV dramas each year. It holds over 500 films of various genres in its archive, many of which garnered awards at national and international film festivals
