Established on August 1, 1952, August First Film Studio (AFFS) mainly produces film on military subjects. With experienced and trained technical and non-technical persons for film making, right from pre-production to the distribution, AFFS is able to produce feature films, educational military films, newsreel and documentaries, TV dramas, etc. Wangzuo Military Film & TV Base, an 83,000m2 site located in Beijing and owned by AFFS, may offer exterior sets and production facilities for domestic military film and TV programs. AFFS also has its own film laboratory and a strong team for dubbing.
